Frequently asked questions

1. When should I book my session?

For maternity sessions, it's best to book between 30-35 weeks of pregnancy to make sure you are comfortable during your session but still be able to show off your beautiful bump. Newborn sessions are recommended for babies 5-18 days old. Leslie's calendar can fill quickly with limited sessions available each week, so booking early is advised. A lot of preparation goes into your session, so limiting sessions allows her to ensure that every detail is covered for your session. This is to make sure that Leslie has time to order anything needed for your session, schedule our hair and makeup artist or prepare for your session.

2. How do I book a session?

Please visit my contact page and fill out the necessary information about what type of session you are interested in. Once Leslie receives your information, she will be in contact with you to schedule a phone call or book a complimentary in-person consultation in the studio to see the space, look through her props and client closet.

3. You're ready to book...what happens next?

Now you're ready to book your session, the next thing to do is decide on a date to reserve on our calendar. Once a date is decided, you'll be sent all the paperwork, including paying the session fee and signing the contract, which are required in order to be considered officially booked. If you haven't schedule an in-person consultation at this point, you're welcome to schedule a time to come in the studio to look through and try on any of our maternity gowns from our growing collection.

4. Does anything come with my creative fee?

Your creative fee is due in order to be considered fully book. This fee covers the time to prepare for your session along any items needed for yours or your baby's session and hand editing your images until they become works of art. Client sessions are truly unique and designed specifically with you in mind. Time and attention has been made to create a session that will yield stunning and beautiful portraits. These portraits will be used to design those heirloom quality artwork discussed in your in-person consultation. All digital negatives and printed artwork is purchased separately from one of our collections.

5. We're excited to see our photos. How quickly can we see them?

Leslie's goal is to have your images perfectly edited and ready to show them off within 2-3 weeks after your session depending on the time of year. You'll see your portraits in a slideshow set to music to create an emotional moment for you and your family. Then Leslie will review your portraits and help you decide the portraits that speak to you and are your absolute favorites that you can't live without. She'll also help you decide what you want to do with them based on your initial in-person consultation. Your unique artwork is designed and purchased at this session, so it's important to have any decision-makers present.
