First birthdays deserve to be celebrated—and cake smash sessions are one of my favorite ways to capture all the personality that comes with this stage.
Cake smash sessions in my Northlake studio can be as simple or as customized as you'd like. Choose a clean, playful setup where you bring your baby's favorite outfit and cake, or let me take care of the details with a custom-designed celebration created just for your little one.
Either way, the session begins by capturing your baby's personality before the cake ever comes out. Then we let them explore, make a mess and show us exactly what they think about this whole cake business. Some dive right in. Some delicately taste the frosting. And some want absolutely nothing to do with it—which can be equally adorable.
The goal isn't perfection. It's remembering exactly who your baby was at one—the expressions, curiosity, tiny details and wonderfully messy moments that disappear much too quickly.
